I have obviously found the perfect solution for me. After I've noticed recently that one can invest in iGoogle pages, similar to blogger, I have now a special page for my lists created and deposited there louder-it notes gadget. Since I am already constantly on the PC, my lists are now ubiquitous hanging around but not ugly and visible in the room.
